Dear Brother,

The Alpha Xi Chapter of KA at the University of California is strong and getting even stronger. This year we have 30 students living in the house and have a strong young base of sophomores and freshmen to keep us growing. To maintain this success though, we need an active and involved alumni base. To help facilitate this need we have launched an alumni communications program that will keep all Alpha Xi Alumni connected to the chapter. We have also recently established the Julian A. Pardini Scholarship Fund which will provide annual scholarships specifically for Alpha Xi KAs. So please join me in supporting the Alpha Xi Chapter for the 2008-2009 year.

Thanks to the support of many alumni, we have a new group of undergraduates who are very excited to promote the values of Kappa Alpha at Cal. Our chapter house is one of the finest quality fraternities at Cal. The renovation program is completed, and we are now working hard to maintain the physical structure. The house is as nice as it has ever been.

The cost of this quality alumni programming and maintaining our facilities as we would like is approximately $35,000 annually. Your annual contribution is what allows us to properly maintain this capital improvement program. It is also a priority of ours to develop some significant educational and maintenance endowments. We cannot accomplish these goals without your support.

With this in mind, the Alpha Xi Building Association is hopeful that alumni like you will prove to be willing to go the extra mile so we can meet our short-term and long-term goals. When you think of the Alpha Xi Chapter of Kappa Alpha, you think of your friends and brothers, the memories you share with them, and the experiences that prepared you for later challenges in life. I also know you realize that organizations like ours, made up of brothers, depend on those same brothers to fuel our success.

Your contribution of $1,000, $500, $250, $100, or $50 will allow us to keep our alumni/parent program active and create an educational endowment. The list of alumni contributors will be widely circulated, so be sure your brothers see your name on this list!
